Legend of Zelda: Lacing up by karniz Legend of Zelda: Lacing up by karniz
:icondonotuseplz::iconmyartplz:

Completed: January 9th 2012
Program: Paint Tool Sai
Origin: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess version.

I am still in-progress of playing this videogame: PLEASE DO NOT POST SPOILERS FOR THE CHARACTERS/STORYLINE. Thank you.

I don't believe in new years resolutions.
But this year I made it my prerogative to beat Twilight Princess.
[It's not like I'm not close, either! I'm actually on the last dungeon... but I'm hunting down poes. Oh woe for poe is me!]

Yep, I'm a hardcore Zelda fan, even bought a Wii on release day just for Twilight Princess. It's been almost five years and I still haven't completed it.
Damn you life, damn you.

So here, have an illustration of Link, lacing up his tunic for a day on the battlefield. ♥

Please keep your comments about the illustration.

I'm guessing since this was made January of last year, you've beaten it, no? What are your thoughts on the ending?

And you draw TP Link superbly!

What's actually kind of sad and funny is that I got the game in 2006, and beat it in... uhh... 2012.
I'm a completionist, so I have to finish games %100. It's a sickness... really...
But yeah, finally after six years I've beaten Twilight Princess... XD [and I think it was like... in June. ^w^;;]

'tis not that bad, really. I got Ocarina of Time in 2000 and I didn't beat it til '07. ^^; We've all got our moments, so no worries! XD

But TP's ending was what turned me into a MidLink shipper and that in turn introduced me to DA. 'tis my favorite game in the series; right next to Majora's Mask and Wind Waker. :3

Do you have any more Zelda art planned? Or is Dark Souls on your forefront? Either will still give us more masterpieces, I'm sure.

hahahhhaa! Oh goodness no! I don't *only* do Dark Souls! It's just... it's just what's boosting my familiarity on Tumblr/DA right at the moment!
[at least I actually play it, and am not in just for the pageviews... ^w^;;]

Oh, I do want to do more fanart for pretty much every other game I play...
But... it's weird if I don't directly feel in the mood for it to do art. [god, that sounded weird...]

I'll be doing a "what do you want to see me draw?" questionnaire on Tumblr soon...
Juuuust in case I get bored I'll take requests from my viewers...
It helps me during commission times when I am pretty much tapped out of creativity. Hahahaha.

oh GOD that ending. I, too, at first didn't like the idea of Link and Midna...
but for TP it's definitely the two of them. Hell, Zelda is more like "I hired you, so save me" sort of deal.
Midna? Yeah, she had a *connection*... XD
[It's sort of how I felt about Cremia in the OoT! w/ Link!]
Also. Wow. 2006? Yeeeshchlghfhhg...

By the way, there are some oldies, but goodies over in my LoZ gallery!

Oh, I know that. What I meant was if you're going to do any in the future. As in, more than you've already done. I'm pretty sure I've favorited at least half your gallery, including that LoZ gallery of yours. And it's pretty much a given that you've played them; otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to create such a personalized comic like "karinz's many Deaths in Dark Souls." XD I apologize if I sounded like I was questioning that before. ^^;

That's completely understandable. 'tis the same way with us writers who write fanfics. No worries. :meow:

I never got around to Tumblr...the layout/reblogging/blogging format doesn't really appeal to me. ^^; I'll be sure to check it out regardless though.

And they left such an open ending! I mean, the mirror may be broken, but what was up with Ganondorf's last words and the cut out to Zant??? Ninty never answered us about that. DX If they can give us a direct sequel to Wind Waker, why not TP?

@ LoZ: I know! The ending was good, but there were so many open plot holes in the events!!!
I hate it when things like that happen in a game... I do hope, like you said, that they'll
revisit the world and storyline maybe.
Zant wins for one of my most favorite villains in the Zelda universe [Majora will always
be #1 for me. ♥
] only because he seems to ominous and evil throughout the game, then he
takes off his mask and he's a raging lunatic! ♥ ♥ ♥

Hahahaha, I mainly use Tumblr as another outlet for my illustrations. It's worth a follow
since mayyyybe only about 30% of the stuff I post there makes it to my DA. I throw a lot of
exclusives and works in progresses there too...
but yeah, I don't really like the whole reblogging interface. Hence why I don't do it. ^w^;;

When you think about it, Majora's also the most badass as well. She doesn't want to control the world, she just wants to watch it burn. And how does she do it? She brings the damn moon down. Demise/Ganondorf, Ghirahim, Vaati, Agahnim (dunno if that's how you spell it. The "A Link to the Past" villain), and Zant got nothing on that. All from the confines of a mask, no less.

But Zant is a pretty good villain figure, even if he was just a pawn the whole time. (I'm seriously debating that though, if you count the "Zant stealing Ganondorf's Triforce of Power" theory. If that's what happened, then he's going to be tied with Majora.)

But I'll be sure to keep a look out on your tumblr from now on as well as the site that you post DkS comic on. You're very talented, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. :nod:

Twilight Princess is my favorite of all of the Zelda games. Ocarina of Time is a close second. Great Job with Link!! I like the textured look of this pic... :squee:
